My living room is in the process of a total make-over. Mostly in my head, but one day it will all come to fruition. I hope.
I love a good gallery wall. But, a good gallery wall I did not have. I kind of just threw this thing together to fill the space. Obvious, I know. It was bad. But don’t worry, I fixed it. And it only took me one year!
Some of it stayed, but I replaced a lot of it in an effort to make it look more organized and less like a bunch of clutter randomly hung on my wall. And with only about 50 more nail holes in the wall, it’s done!
Some of it I bought, and some of it I made…
The skeleton key and skull prints I found on Etsy [here]. They are instant downloads and are only $1 a piece, or less if you buy a bunch! I found the frames at Wal-mart.
I made the date canvas. March 1, 2013 is my wedding anniversary. Awww.
The antlers were on clearance at Hobby Lobby. They were natural/rustic looking so like A LOT of other things in my house, I painted them gold.
I also made the geometric diamond on the bottom. I’ll be posting a tutorial for that soon! It’s one of my favorite pieces!
And then there’s this…
Isn’t it amazing?! I can’t stop staring at it! When I first got it, it was covered in the sap of 4,000 maple trees. Not really, but it had been sitting under a maple tree for a long time and was covered. Hot water, a little scrubbing, some pray paint, and glitter and I’m in LOVE!
Some of you might be thinking, ‘Geez! What else is she going to paint gold?’ or ‘Um, how many skulls/animal parts can one person have?’ (There’s a gold spinal column up there, too. Did you see it?) and my answer to you is this…
Can’t stop. Won’t stop.
